Doing nothing is a vote, albeit not the best for a union IMO. Regardless, the UPS released lists are flawed as they do not show the complete picture. UPS probably enjoys the perverse pleasure of having us keep these lists that are manipulated by the company. In the final analysis, we are not doing ourselves any good by berating, we need to keep encouraging participation and an engaged membership. Encouragement will provide a better landscape than bitterness. Look at Stilly, he has no bitterness to the rest of the membership, always encouraging the rest of us. Probably the best model for our strategic success.

Front Seat,
Again, I have to ask that people don't look at the lists and decide to cast judgment. Whether from the top or the bottom, I happen to be in the bottom 300, the lists do not give the full picture of participation. I myself, with mil leave and sick donated, was only awarded one bid period of RDG. Does that mean I did not give enough? With all mil and sick and the RDG, I gave over 130 grand back to UPS. Yet I only show on the list of 1 RDG. Should I be shunned? IF YOU PARTICIPATED, GREAT. ENCOURAGE THOSE WHO DID NOT GIVE TO GIVE ON THE NEXT GO ROUND. MOVE ON AND THINK POSITIVE. USE LIST WITH CAUTION IS ALL I HAVE TO SAY. THERE WILL BE MORE OPPORTUNITIES TO GIVE. GIVE IT A CHANCE. STOP THE LIST PICKING NOW. IT WILL ONLY HURT US ALL.

Quick and easy math:
The bottom 300 represent approx 10% (300/2,901) of the IPA population
The bottom 300 were awarded approx 37% (901/2,424) of the RDG periods awarded.

Factual data may support that the bottom 300 are pulling their weight.
Hearsay vs. fact?

I hope you and everyone else who says he/she volunteered but wasn't approved will try it again next time the sign up window opens up...

Of course, I also hope those who didn't even try to help out will change their minds this time around...

The "geezer","Farve" etc comments really make me want to increase my participation.

Maybe since you want to encourage more people to participate you might suggest to the people that do that it is counter productive.

Many have, my last post above points that direction. Some who are against the MOU have called those who supported the MOU some rather insulting names as well. (see B&G). The blasts in either direction are counterproductive. It only pleases UPS Labor.........
