Is that a '68 ... S-W-E-E-T! I believe I can claim having carnal knowledge in a '69 (with a living, breathing female no less!)

Weak???? Dude, the fat lady has yet to sing. I for one have more respect for, and am more proud of our membership than I have been for a long, long time. Until you've actually been furloughed from this place, don't count us out yet.

WOW! In support of the bottom 300 I haven't picked up any OT this year... but now you're suggesting the bottom 300 are gobbling up all they can get a hold of? Where's their 100%IPA and all that? Are you suggesting that all of us that have given up on potential extra earnings are suckers for supporting the union and those threatened with furlough?
You want to support the bottom 300, sign-up for a program under the MOU. Pretty simple and painless with all of the options.
To clarify ... nothing in #906, still plenty in #907 available. I would suggest anyone in the bottom 300 that is available and legal to grab it up ! Make it now while you can, no guarantees after Sept 1 ... just lots of potential free time.

Either way I will get lots more time off. I'm either going to be part-time with benefits for 3 years. Or NOT ...

I'm a little disheartened to hear the bottom 300 are gobbling up OT like it's going out of style as the rest of us IPA deem it inappropriate. Sounds more like every man for himself, doesn't it?

Ask yourself one question, do you really think UPS is going to walk away from such a substantial amount of savings and if so, can you imagine the spin doctor's press release if they do? The flip side is this will be the starting point for 2012 negotiations.

You didn't miss anything CC as the union would be held in contempt if they called for an illegal job action. You should study up on this stuff before you spout off though.

I don't deem it inappropriate for anyone facing a complete loss of income in the next few months to pick-up open time while they still can.
But as it turns out, being the most junior certainly limits the potential to make it work ...
