Do those folks not understand that they will be affected by a furlough even though they are safe from hitting the street?
Can they not see the pink elephant sitting in the room?
Downgrades, forced domicile changes, forced into commuting, losing bidding power, crappy schedules, crappy QOL, no OT/JA, etc.

They do not understand or care to ignore the consequences ...
What pink elephant ... Blinders.

FWIW
You can not pick up open time in a month you volunteeres to JS or RDG.

And you know, I can think of no logical or mathematical reason for that. I mean, if there's open time, somebody has to fly it -- why put that restriction? As a conspiracy theorist, I can only assume it was one of the little glitches purposely added to ensure the MOU fails to pass...

My point is unchanged though. They can pick up OT in a month where they are not doing JS/RDG. Work one week for each of two months, then three weeks each in the next two months. Small sacrifice to make for the benefits gained. And with some creative bidding/manipulation of the schedule, most guys will be able to move stuff around to minimize any hassle or pain.

I wondered that too ...
There must have been a reason. Because the MOU language does allow for JAs. Which THEY control ... maybe that is the difference.

There is NO open time for ANC 747 FOs for this pay period that just started by the way. It got soaked up pretty early ... FWIW. Not by the reserves.

WOW! In support of the bottom 300 I haven't picked up any OT this year... but now you're suggesting the bottom 300 are gobbling up all they can get a hold of? Where's their 100%IPA and all that? Are you suggesting that all of us that have given up on potential extra earnings are suckers for supporting the union and those threatened with furlough?

Well here's my third post and all I have to say is this pilot group is weak! The failure of this MOU is going to have huge consequences. Why wouldn't we want to control our own future. At least I'm in Cologne having a good time for now.
