Pick up the phones by luggage retrieval (terminal B) and dial 19. Say one to pick up at the PAX terminal. Go straight out the doors (again terminal B) to the far Island and look for the FDX Pickup sign and wait. Wait 10 to 30 minutes for a white bus with FEDEX on the side; tell the Driver AOC Please.

Pokey, the phone is one of those hotline type phones to all of the nearby hotels located under a large display of the various hotels that have shuttle pickup service. You cannot miss it.

I know for sure there is one in MEM where the NWA bag claim area is... right before you would go outside the building. Good luck!

Make sure you ask the bus driver what mgmt future plans are so you can brief your operating crew, prior to departure.

Bring a sleeping bag, that way I won't feel as guilty of taking up your floor space as I would sharing it. :-D

Glad to reciprocate, welcome aboard.

Default MEM crew bus

I don't know, have the rules changed? The bus from the pax terminal to AOC used to be for Fedex employees only. It's fine with me if Pokey (assuming you're not a Fedex emp) rides the bus but I'd hate to see him get in trouble and be denied the js and therefore stuck in Memphis with the js blues again.

How would Pokey "get in trouble" and be denied the jumpseat? The bus driver is supposed to look for an ID when you get on. If Pokey's airline ID is good enough for the bus driver, he rides. If his ID isn't acceptable because it's not FedEx, he doesn't ride, says "my mistake" and grabs a cab to AOC. Either way, his airline ID gets him through the parking lot security gate. Jumpseat admin doesn't play in either event.

I've seen offline jumpseaters on the FedEx bus to or from the terminal several times. And they ride a FedEx bus to/from the Democrat lot anyway. No different.
