Looks like "Hero Matt" bid CDG this practice bid? And at least one long time APC'er MEM 11 CA?

Remember ... "WWHMD" ... (What Would Hero Matt Do?)

MD, 3rd from the bottom, turns 65 in 9 months. I wonder if he would even have someone jr trained so he could get passover.

I personally know some who have been awarded HKG FO that will switch to CDG FO if they can hold it.

They have already mentally committed to living in an FDA; and while day-to-day living in HKG may be cheaper and with far less currency-risk, CDG may offer cheaper/more varied housing opportunities, easier local leisure travel, and an easier commute back to the U.S.

Of those yet to mentally committ to living in a FDA, I think they are waking up to the actual costs & risks involved --- and, as usual, some will bulk on the final bid.

Practice Rd #2 results show:

- CDG Capt & FO slots went more junior
- HKG FO staying the same at the bottom, with 3 more takers overall.

OK. Then I'll rephrase it:

With the low BLGs, the crappy domestic trips/lines and lack of carryover...Maybe some of the very senior SIBA pilots that have their 25 years and/or have reached our "normal retirement age", will finally retire and find another venue for their amusement.

I don't really care what age they are...All I'm saying is that some of the very senior guys flying SIBA, may find the end of SIBA a good enough reason to retire.

Man...I tried hard to find something I thought was a positive to this CDG domicile. Why don't you try coming up with something?

I can agree with this if money is not the primary concern. It would be nice to be in this position.

If you live out of the city in a cheaper place you'll need a car. Will that push the cost up higher?

I know your VIPS password, I'll make sure you don't forget to bid CDG on the final. Mayday and I need a driver for our layovers! (That old beat up Land Cruiser will look spiffy flying down the Champs)

Round #3 is closing out Wed, Jun 10th.

How much difference will a week make?

Any updated predictions?

Will the more senior "just kidding" pilots pull their bids?

Will the Capt and FO slots in CDG continue to go more junior?

Will HKG FO continue to fill up?

Discuss....
