Don't know if it was reserve days or not. I just asked out of curiosity.
Thanks Nash, I knew about the LA Pay 250%, but thought the Capt in a right seat was another ...
I guess 767pilot found the reference while I was posting a reply. So it is a 200% premium ... So he only grossed about $8000 then ... still some good coin if you can find it !

There has always been a lot of confusion about what that means. I'm still confused. I reported, you decide?
I think that the issue is that the guy is already on reserve, getting 100% pay. Now he gets a JA, so that is an additional 150%. On the other hand, he is in the right seat, so it is 50%. It just isn't that clear I guess

I am not a smart man so can someone explain it to me, how much money does UPS have to make in a quarter/year for the cost savings that they want from the IPA to go away? Lets say they make a billion a quarter again, are they still looking for these savings from our pilot group? It doesn't make sense to me!

C'mon Shaggy, you're a tanker guy right? You should be smart enough to figure this out. The money they want to save equates with the pay and benefits of a the excess pilots from the DC-8 fleet going away. They said the cost of a junior pilot including pay, benefits, B plan is about 180K. 180k X 300 equals about 40 million.
This can only be true if you believe Atlanta does not orbit the pilot group. The pilot group must in fact be orbiting Atlanta.
