New UPS furlough number 450
This was the number that was supposedly leaked by an EB member last night around SDF.. Unfortunately, it was also seconded by the chief pilot out here in Ontario.

Agreed. Just passing along for entertainment value. Maybe if we give them enough time, we'll be up to 2905 in a couple of weeks. They really don't need any pilots around here, just really really fast trucks.

Dude, you told me that I was "FAT" (300 from the bottom). At least I'll get a 747 type rating before I get let go!

By the way this is one of the standard ways that management distributes a rumor. By confirming a statement that was never made by an EB member but has started to circulate, not uncommonly started by a manager at someplace other than where the confirming ACP works.

"This company will NEVER furlought. It just won't happen...."
"Don't worry, they're NEVER going to displace you to ANC while you're in IOE on the 75 as a new hire. They just spent all that money on you to fly 75s. I've seen this before -- they'll cancel the bid. It'll NEVER happen..."
"Oh, they're not going to displace you to the panel and pay 2 moves for you in 14 months. They have enough guys on panel already. They need ANC FOs. I've seen this before -- they'll run the numbers and cancel the bid. It'll NEVER happen...."
So, hey, I'm not worried.
