3. Vendors......HAH! Is that what you really want??? Some knucklehead that has NO idea of what our Operation is really like, teaching you how to effectively and safely fly our aircraft on the back side of the clock??? C'mon, all I've heard for years is "credability"......

The reason is simple. You can either give the front enders quality training, the backenders quality training, or try and do both at the same time and make it all pretty worthless. It's almost impossible to do them both at the same time and fill all the squares for a sim period. Plus, if you try and do both front enders and F/E's in the same sim period there will be lot's of negative training as both will make errors that compound and create a poor learning environment.
I flex'd for 2 1/2 years here in the slave ship, and I can tell you that flying the line is way easier and gives you more time off for the same pay. The upside is you not doing night hub turns, the down side is you work more days for the same pay (assumes you can hold a line). Those that think it's still the deal to end all deals should try it for a few years. There are opportunities to make a little exta coin from time to time, but normally you have to earn it.
If we want a world class training department here, you can't do it on the cheap. That means paying a little extra to keep good people in the training department and manning it so guys can fly the line every 3-4 months. I do think that some term limits might be a good thing. Hanging out in the training department to avoid the line for 8-10 years is a bit much.
