Yep, now is the time for all the pilots to spend as much time at home that they can. With negotiations coming up, why wait till later and draw the whole process out. If you start valuing your time off now, that would show some solidarity before we start negotiating.

It seems quite obvious to me that O is just a pawn in the grand scheme of things dancing for the puppet master...

I think everyone should read (if you haven't already) Confessions of a Union Buster by Levitt. I'm getting quit tired of the wahoo's me wahoo's me, boo whoo crying from management...they've played that tune way too much lately. All managements trying to do is divide and conquer pitting crews against each other as much as possible.

Good news though for us, the pilots. New union leaders, new blood, new energy...and I'm for it 100%. It's time to stay informed, it's time to stay active and it's time to stay focus. We have already given up well earned collectively bargained (in good faith) enhancements that have quickly diminished with the optimizer and misinterpreted language. No more, time to draw a line in the sand.

Rant over, Fly safe!

OK, tell the truth...how many folks saw that subject line and thought "Oh wow, wonder who the new SCP is going to be?" I'm not wishing for that, mind you...just my first reaction to that choice of words.

Did you mean Woe is Me?

'Cause the image I'm conjuring up is OR on a fishing boat reeling in a big wahoo while the Exec Officer pours another San Miguel down the boss' hatch.

I thought exactly the same thing - somebody's finally gonna get fired over all this nonsense?

wishful thinking?

I was thinking (hoping?) the same thing. But in reality I think someone farther up the food chain should go first.

I honestly quit reading or paying attention to anything that "O" says anymore. Sad statement about how irrelavent he has become. "mano y mano"??? I mean, come on, what's next...a Texas Death Match or Steel Cage Match??

AFW, why would any manager get fired? From corporate's perspective, this management team has done more for FedEx than any previous. They have extracted MILLIONS of dollars through 4A2B, implemented fuel sense, cranked up the optimizer, and fractured our pilot group making us weaker.

They have positioned the company to destroy us in the next round of contract talks. They will be hailed by FedEx corporate as the best ever.

We just continue to act like the insignificant pawns that they believe we are.
