Without new freight, vacancy bids are just a shift from one airframe to another.

News of them seemed positive at first but then I realized another bid pack would be shrinking.

I'm not telling you to break out the Bobby McFerrin or anything, I'm just saying that all things considered it could be even worse. We are in a slow economy with a company that pretty much only wants money from us which isn't new. It's much less fun when they want your money, your job, all with little interest in actually running the company they supposedly 'lead'.

At this point we still don't even know how aggressively they will schedule training on 09-03 given that those affected by it could again be impacted by 09-04 and beyond.
09-03 is already affecting training. I just had my down bid training moved up 2 months and i can only figure that its was because of the bid. Who knows any more.

They might be waiting until Friday to release your accelerated downbid training there, Cletus.

My date for ANC was moved up by 2 weeks. Had a crew notification today with a 2 week move-up. Tried to look at the 11 training letter, and it's not there...

We're screwed, because we're all "too smart" for our own collective good!

These forums are like a high school debate contest. Even if we agree on the real answer, we need to show how intelligent we are by identifying the weaknesses in the previous poster's argument.

I'm changing my standing bid to ME @ 100% just so I'll fit in better!

Default Is anyone listening to this ???

Valid and salient points but will not go anywhere, especially with a self centered and "all about me" group of folks like we have here ............... I don't see anyone really out there to support the Junior guys and gals, not even our own Union !!! The last "go around" of negotiations ended up in a blur and "sprinkles of money all over the place". See, that is what folks want around here ................ $$$ first and then maybe complain about it later. Hiding Calendars, same constant carryover bidders, blah, blah, blah.
We have only proved to this Company, that we are a miserable bunch not capable of helping ourselves out of a wet paper bag ............... STRIKE FIRST then work it out ? Not with this current leadership and work group.
This is NOT Europe, this is USA style of working conditions designed to protect the EMPLOYERS, not the employees ............................. Just take a look at how the NLRB decision for GROUND drivers was struck down on Appeal motions by the Company !!! Don't kid yourselves ...................................
