Noted.
Yah...Clearly, what we've been doing is very effective.

I wonder if it gets confusing having to log on as one guy to say something, and then log off, and back on as someone else to continue the conversation. Just kidding......

Default The simple truth!

This is what we need to concentrate on:

The VP's most recent communication has one very important section: BLG.....blah,blah,blah,,,

FDX has NO Intention to furlough and they also are in no position to orchestrate a large scale furlough. They are SHORT in the junior seat. If we continue to allow FDX Management to look like rock stars to upper level MGT with the cost savings found in unfettered 4.a.2.b. we will be there FOREVER!

The only way we can get out of this problem is for it not to work for them. It will take individual intestinal fortitude, right now the guys that can hold carryover or have in-exhaustible make up banks are assisting FDX in getting the job done for the least amount of CH. Draft and Volunteer is CHEAP for FDX when you compare it to the amount of CH saved on our backs with BLG's and RLG's in the cellar.

It also allows the Company to further OPTIMIZE the $hit out of us. Do you really think they need to fly intra-Asia two leg flights with an RFO? They are doing it because we are rubber stamping it, from the SIG to the guys who fly DP's voluntarily.

If you want out of this problem consider the following:

Live within your awarded BLG/RLG.

Vacation months we should eviscerate as many Reserve lines as possible.

Recurrent training months bid reserve and conflict huge blocks of R day and use the CIA process to get trips.

Stay off the DFT/VOL crack, it only makes our problem worse. The Company can split up trips to utilize reserves.

Every trip picked up as M/U (all types) allows the Company to not need as many reserves, the problem feeds on itself like a cancer.

FDX CRS relies on reserve level manning to estimate the health of the manning situation...LET's HELP THEM WITH THAT METRIC!

I HAVE FLOWN SIBA ON AND OFF FOR MANY YEARS, HOWEVER DUE TO ITS REDUCED QUALITY IT HAS BECOME AN ACCEPTABLE LOSS.

So now that it doesn't meet your standard of "quality" it is an acceptable loss? Makes sense to me.

1) Access your personal finances.

I could only get 400 bucks out of the ATM. I'll be able to get the remaining 72.28 out after midnight tonight. But I'm hesitant to access my 401 K due to the tax penalties. Any other thoughts?

-DON'T BLOCK YOUR CALENDAR.

I can email it to you at the beginning of each month if that would make it easier for you. Please advise.

I think his overall mentality is fairly right on. He mentions many good leverage points that we as a crew force have. Its really not that complicated!

I agree, but it's impossible to stop the masses from attacking these good ideas. The whole thing could maybe be simplified for those in the 'large domicile' to actually understand. See 'bubba speak'...
