Hmmm. So, where are those folks, exactly, who fully realized the impact, and voted for it anyway. Was the pay reduction simply acceptable to this group, or did they just think it would not happen? How about the "regulated age" wording - same position taken by these guys?

I really don't recall one post from any of them. You may be the only one. I trust that you pointed out the potential pitfalls to the committee during last negotiations.

No pictures here - hope you can read between the lines. If you're really trying to create more divisiveness, not sure why you think it will be helpful.......

I shouldn't post when I'm angry...

I know a few folks who are happy to keep the junior pilots on the property with 4a2b. That is a truly great group. But I know a person or three that couldn't be bothered to discuss the facts on the HKG LOA but liked it anyway and are now very unhappy with 4a2b. Many are honest enough to express their desire to furlough to raise their pay. Don't get me wrong, I don't think they should be made to endure this cut in hours. They don't deserve to be penalized. But when you are focused only raising the pay for your own interest group (Yourself?), many important ares of compensation are overlooked. Make no mistake, no negotiating capital was deemed worthy to expend on a multitude of items in the last contract and HKG LOA. We are now paying for that shortsightedness.

I won't address the regulated age thing. I don't put it in the same arena as the HKG LOA. The HKG LOA should have been worked on with more effort, should not have gone out to the pilot group, should not have been sold so hard and should not have been voted in. I believe the above went horribly wrong because "we" were attempting to deliver a cost effective FDA LOA for 777 pay rates.

Scott Stratton for MEC Chair!

You misspelled "DW's 777 pay rate!"

Skypine,

THAT was hilarious. No doubt, the Gucci guys are in a world of their own, stroking for command, maxing out on support, working on their 15th year. I should be more PC. Shall we say, they live a comfortable, well insulated life albeit a wee bit out of touch.

Why are Memphonians bugging a bubba going thru MD-11 training about bidding HKG?

Are they looking for a finder's fee/commission on the sale?

Ok, I'll 'fess up. I voted for it, as a selfish pilot. I asked my Chinese/American FO I flew with what she thought, she said it was "okay." Since I had no intention of ever bidding HKG, even if it gave me a free house and and double wide-body Captain pay, I took her word( and our negotiators). Sorry for the pain I've caused, I'll be AOC tonight if you want to meet a doofus who ruined your world.

Too bad there wasn't a third option available to you; like not voting if you didn't GAS.
