DHL Express has decided to move its U.S. hub operations for its international business to the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport (CVG) in Kentucky.
The move is expected to be completed by mid- to late summer, according to a well-placed source who wished to remain anonymous late Thursday night. The announcement was made to DHL employees at the DHL Air Park Thursday night.
No announcement was made at the same time about which airline DHL will utilize as its air carrier at CVG, the source said.
People who will work as sorters at the CVG facility will be employed by DHL, said the source.
In late March, the Business Courier of Cincinnati reported the State of Kentucky had offered DHL nearly $2 million in tax incentives to relocate the company’s remaining operations out of Wilmington to CVG.
According to a project report released by the Kentucky Economic Development’s Finance Authority Board, relocation of DHL’s U.S.-based international express business would generate 187 full-time jobs and 646 part-time jobs, for a total of 833 positions in Kentucky.
Before DHL consolidated its primary U.S. hub operations at the expanded and upgraded Wilmington Air Park in fall 2005, it utilized CVG as its main sorting hub.

DHL Cargo Flight Schedule for CVG
Hello,
Hope I'm not out of line here, I'm not a pilot or airline employee. But would like to find out if there is a Flight Schedule available anywhere for incoming & outgoing DHL Astar ABX for CVG.
Photography is my interest. I have a FedEx schedule. Would be nice to know all the DHL flights coming and going at CVG. Last Saturday 7-11-09 approx. 10 flights arrived between 6-7 AM. Also a few flights left CVG for storage to Kingman,Az. I think.
Any help most appreciated. Thanks in advnce. Steve

Here...lemme take a wag at whose gonna be the airline flying for DHL out of CVG....
Either....
ATI and Capital (ATSG) only OR ATI, Capital and ABX Air (but with ATI/Capital pay rates)...either way it'll be ATSG.
FYI....once AStar is gone, I can't say I'd blame ABX 1224 for takinga pay cut to stay alive. At that point your choice would be to either take the cut and keep flying with current seniority and longevity, or they shift the remainder of DHL flying to ATI/Capi, ya get furloughed, and you get to apply to the bottom of their seniority list.
