Maybe I don't "get" the being senior enough to btr.
If it helps, forget I said anything about btr. Maybe that's not an issue. But if I bid out of ANC with a "1" in the excess posting, isn't that btr (assuming I get awarded something elsewhere)?
Either way, I have an ANC MD-11 right seat now as of 09-02, slated to activate there this fall. If I bid 757 FO on this next bid, will I go to ANC while I await 757 school. That's my main question.

Thus, it will be like you are going from MEM MD11 to MEM 757.
The only question will be if it will be as "excessed" or "bid to relieve excess" - this will determine when you go to 757 training.
Side note: if you end up back in MEM on the 757, there will be no move package as you never activated in ANC - you'll be going from based in MEM to based in MEM again - just in case you might have been figuring in a Relo Pkg #1 into the equation.
(I know all this 'cause a similar situation happened to me in the past. I asked all the questions regarding the Relo Pkg #1 then too, and that was the answer I got - NO. I also got a notification after the second bid award that my previous award and the training/transfer date associated with it had been "superseded")
