Your guess is as good as mine since there is nothing on the ALPA website highlighting what this is about. I question what possible motive they could have for instigating a lawsuit against the company for their treatment of 757 Instructors. Is it to get the Instructor cadre something more? I think not...

Don't know what specifically they are looking for but at a recent LEC meeting, JG and DM said that filing a grievance isn't that big a deal but filing a lawsuit against Fedex is. The company really wants to avoid any actual lawsuits and the press that come with it. So that's part of it.

So if you don't know what the lawsuit is about, why are you trashing it? Why don't you call CB and ask him? Courts are used when the company violates a section of the contract. When there is a question about what the language means, it is grieved. Sounds like the union thinks the company violated the contract. I think that one of the lec or block updates might address the lawsuit.
