No....actually he is quite well informed. And, unlike you, presents the established, legal, and accepted interpretation of the SIG, PSIT and DP section of the contract correctly. Your "incorrectly interpreted in my opinion" statement is meaningless. Because "your opinion" on contract application has no bearing on any of the processes you are trying to bend to your own selfish use. You remind me of David Duke, David Koresh or any number of selfish megalomaniacs who try and take the documents, laws and contract pertinent to their world and twist, mis-inform, and worm them into a self serving template. Fly DP's if you will, but rest assured, you will be put on the marquee.

These forums are all opinion and all are supposedly welcome. Why are you so threatened by an attempt to clarify any CBA sect?? You prefer to yell "its not broken" rather than engage in a discussion to understand the actual language and how it may be improved. As for your Davids, I'm willing to bet you fit right in with that crowd.
I do not see how ethically bidding 777 or picking up DPs are dissimilar.

I think the majority of us here on this board agree that DP CBA language is not strong enough; we just think the best way to improve it is to honor the sig and not pick up DPs. It should make our bargaining position stronger if FDX has to dedicate RSV pilots to fly DPs. It is very similar IMHO to your post concerning the MEC chair and bidding 777.

Chairman and others bidding 777 = less leverage and a lower payrate on it.
Pilots flying DPs voluntarily = less leverage and worse schedules in the very near future.
The DP process has the power to keep pairings off of lines, at least for a few months, without your specific request to fly them. It has the power to affect change. I'm not talking about what we try to get on the next contract or what should be, I am interested in supporting the system we have now. So what if PC can eventually rule to kill the dispute. Let him get interviewed by the NTSB for his poor decisions. Don't make those decisions for him.
So you have to ask yourself, am I helping the team or hurting the team? I don't care about your excuses why. If you are debating AND subverting the system in place I say you are hurting the team and wish you weren't on it.

But as an aside, here is a portion of a trip that sits in open time right now in ANC. It's an 11 day death march, but check out the duty day at the end of the snippet. That's about 19 hours door-to-door, including drive time.

This will no doubt get changed, but once again...the optimizer keeps turning. See, things just aren't going to get any better unless we make them that way. That's just the way it is...
