What's up with this ANC guy. I just don't understand. One day off the entire month. At least he's got carry over into next month.

No need to worry. The ANC solidarity email program has been shown to be effective for those that arrive from The Planet with the mental capacity of a knat ("...it works better for my personal schedule...").

For one that's a false choice. Two, the current DP process is and will continue to be blown off (by both sides) until the next contract is signed. I'm not advocating flying them, just pointing out the obvious. (I don't fly them and I'll PM you my emp# if you want to check) Reference PC overiding a successfull, 3 mo., non-flown, ANC DP last year. If it was in B/W (hard parameter) in the contract he or his successor could not do that. Besides that, all of our sleeping patterns are slightly different so one mans onerous may be in another mans wheelhouse as far as sleep is concerned.

One, it is not a false choice. Two, I do not care if you fly them or you don't. I am stating the obvious, if no one flew them it woluld be a lot easier to get hard parameters in the next contract. If everyone flew them it would be a lot harder to get more restrictive hard parameters in the next contract. Therefore it is not a good idea to pretend that pilots who fly DPs don't exist.
Let's give up on hard parameters before talks even start, that's a great idea.
If no one flew them, neither you nor I have any idea how that would impact getting hard parameters during the next round of talks, only WAG's. Again, one thing we do know is that last year we followed the DP process to the letter in ANC and what happened?
The process you are defending is broken. I wish it was'nt, but Stevie Wonder can see that it is. The question is, what are we going to do about it next time. That's where our energy should be. Some smart dude once said, focus on the solution, not the problem.

Talk about false choices, criticizing DP flyers is not the same as beating my fist against the wall. Try it. Type a post then hit your head against the wall, which one hurts you?
Yes the process is broken because too many people like you prefer to look the other way. That does not make it right. He11 we have a mec chairman who hints not to bid the 777 then bids it, that process is broken too.
