Lots of seat movement and base changes....including me
Excess was never canceled......YET!
I don't think the training letter will be out though until mid next week...any guess?

There's only 7 new HKG FOs, not 9.
Two on the list are already in HKG, and were just excessed off the 777 back to HKG.
To quote the negotiating committee (which, unlike BC's NC, actually admits the current FDA LOA is inadequate...):
"Another separate, but connected issue that should fall under the umbrella of a global solution is the economic reality of living in a Foreign Duty Assignment (FDA). Our committee has been very clear with management that if they want HKG, or any other future FDA, to be staffed for success, the economic foundation needs to be strengthened. In the simplest of terms, they need to increase the stipend and treat it as “no strings attached” money. Even though the excess bid closes in two weeks, there is still time to find a ratified solution prior to the vacancy bid closing. Until we achieve economic enhancements to the HKG FDA, the prudent course of action remains to bid a HKG position on the excess bid only if it suits your needs under the terms of the existing LOA."
Maybe the company should pull out it's wallet and actually make HKG livable for the typical FedEx FO?
Such a good deal, out of 4700 pilots, they can't even get 50 FO's to bid it...

Certainly is not worth arguing about, but that is why we come to APC.
If they were not on the 777 list the company (in theory) would have only advertised for 34 more bodies on 09-01. But since (on paper) they were leaving that opened up 2 more slots in HKG and created a vacancy of 36. I could be wrong.
Hey can DW add some virtual already checked out dudes to the virtual training letter (what a bunch of morons we are) and speed up the virtual checkout for all those waiting for passover (Shalom).
