The ability to vote with your wallet is as American as apple pie. This loose association has proven the need for this time and time again. Like most of us I bought the 'brotherhood/teamwork/mutual handjob' rhetoric during the last round and it bit us in the collective a$$.
I don't care what ALPO national has to say about it. That can probably be cured with a lawsuit for failure of proper representation or some such BS. Foxy's right though, Prater will never voluntarily go along with it. Like most union presidents in this country he'll need to be strong armed into it.
Agency shop has GOT TO GO. Call me a single issue voter right now.

Why direct your anger at agency shop, the current crew at the top has to go, and the sooner the better, talk about being tone deaf. Also, the LEC voting bloc had better be attentive to the fact that this is the case or else their will be blood. "Good guys and squadron buds" notwithstanding.

I think you quoted the wrong guy but, since you asked; Agency Shop is wrong IMHO because a voluntary organization is much more responsive to the membership than an involuntary organization.
My post was that being in New Zealand is not an excuse for being incommunicado anymore.

I'm thinking it was a comment about your level of gullibility and maturity and......... it wasn't a compliment. Then again, FH is roaring in on 62 and has a bad shoulder so who knows? He did put a couple big smiley's behind it but the FH we know and love isn't a huge humor guy..... Let's face it, without agency shop. DW could've never pulled the stuff he did without a large percentage of us voting with our wallet. In theory, it's in the contract to keep the freeloaders honest but in actuality, it can be used to keep the union heirarchy in power when they continuously "do the right thing" by themselves and put the screws to everybody else.
In another life...he'd be sitting duty for me, his entire short career...no excuse for being a disloyal self centered antagonist in my young book.

Yea lets get rid of it so the cheap arse's of our group can have a contract for free. Are you nutz? ALPA represents 100% of the pilots so 100% should shoulder the expense of getting the work rules. Good or bad.
If someone really has a philosophical aversion to belonging they can sit on the side lines and pay their fair share. You are very new, very old, or cheap. Maybe a combination but their is no middle ground.
