Sure.
1. We took a signing bonus along with pay raises in our last contract.
2. We tabled our lawsuits based on refleet/job security provisions. That's the only reason our guys are getting paid sitting around, for now. Once that goes away I would suspect the court actions will return.

LOL right. I'm just curious how this "post DHL" CBA is going to square with flying for DHL, as it's apparent both sides are going to be doing. At least for awhile, before the Germans come up with their next "Brilliant Plan". Is there going to be a side letter stipulating that current rates/rules apply to DHL, and the new rates apply to other charter work? Seems a reasonable question to me. I don't see how that dog would hunt. It would be like a super B scale.

If the DHL volume will ultimately disappear entirely, isn't it perhaps prudent that somebody on each of your lists get some number of paychecks out of whatever is left, instead of it going to non-union non-scheds? I get the "full pay til the last day" view, and the "stick it to the Krauts" mentality, but at the end of the day, a paycheck is a paycheck, right?
You guys helped scuttle the UPS deal as you wanted, but isn't it maybe time to at least get what's left? Or not...

Well SB, the way I look at it, if one side or the other of this equation decides to "lower the bar" intentionally or not, then invariably shenanigans will erupt from both companies manglement teams to gain the upper hand. By the time the smoke clears, it won't be any better a job than one you might find down in corrosion corner in MIA. If (when) it got to that, then I'd rather do something else. If I have to look my mother in the eye and tell her I'm a freight dog, then at least I want to get a decent wage out of it. Otherwise, I'm going back to the story that I'm a piano player in a *****house. At least that's respectable.
