And he does it again! Another day, another awesome charter for this savvy, calendar hiding junior Capt! Before he hid his calendar you could see he flew nothing but charters month after month. His F/O seems to be on extra trips a lot as well for being so junior. Anyway, killing the BOTS may have taken down VIPS traffic, but it has hardly leveled the playing field. In fact, it seems to have allowed the rich to get richer IMO.

I saw that last night as well. I have to agree the playing field was not leveled. Most of us were just taken out of play so a few could get all the good trips.

Trips sat frozen for a while so having a "friend" in charters would do nothing for you. Having a bot or "friend" in scheduling would.

I actually saw a new charter appear in Open Time and put in for it last year. It appeared when I had hit the back button while checking out another trip so I know it was there for less than 30 seconds max. I put in for the trip as M/U right away. Somehow this guy beat me to it. When I checked his schedule and saw he was actually on a flight over Europe at that very moment I knew the fix was in somehow. Then I saw his calendar. All he flies as a junior Capt is these charters. Now he hides his schedule. What a shock! Whatever he is using, it certainly works well for him!

If the guy really picked the trip up while airborne, then you should turn the proof over to the pro standards guys at the union.

Unless things have changed, there are only a select group of management and/or lca pogues that fly certain charters (pay only). It could be that someone else is doing his scheduling for him. Even when he is airborne. If so, the solution is to unlock these charters to the rest of the Capts.

Don't confuse these guys with any facts. They're all for hope and change so they don't actually have to fly the line they were awarded.

Too much whining even for me....

Sigh. What a disappointment. He used to be on the SIG.

if this pilot was indeed airborne, as a minimum you should call CRS and demand that they remove him from the trip and process the next time stamped request due to it being an illegal pickup in violation of company policy, talk to a CRS supervisor and let them know, call the guy's ACP and inform him, and refer this jerk to the union Pro Standards folks. These guys need to be shut down if they are using modified BOTS and I wouldn't hesitate to ask CRS if the person who just got the trip is airborne if it is someone who habitually gets these cherry trips!!!!

As I said, this was last year. I did call CRS right away and asked how this could happen. The scheduler agreed that the guy was airborne and didn't know how he got it other than "We know you guys have these programs out there" which I knew nothing about. As far as contacting my ACP, I have had a certain non member Capt ("THKS ALPA" license plate on his Corvette) try and get 2 guys fired I know by going to management with BS stuff and do not believe that is the way to go. I did call Pro Standards (which is where I think union members should try and resolve issues) and not long after that this guy started hiding his calendar. Why was that I wonder? Anyway, my point was that the BOT blockers have not stopped the same pilots getting these cherry extra trips over and over. It may have even made it easier for them.
