World Airways Interview and Trainning
Are there any World Airways newbies out there that can shine a little light on the latest interview prosess "ie" number of days and general format.
I also would love to get some general info on how your first year has gone out on the line? Any outher tid bits you can float out there would be great.

2.5 days 1st night the informal meet & greet, 2nd day sim eval, 3rd day HR interview personality/logbook check. Still some swimmers in the pool but it's all based on your "score" so a guy could interview later and get an earlier class date. Something going on with ATA as well, preferential hiring is what ALPA is pushing for.
Depends on the plane you get and how bad they need you sometimes it can take 6 mo's to get to IOE. Keep in mind training pay is what you will get until the check is over in the sim. The people I've spoken to enjoy the variety of bush flying in a heavy. Hope that helps.

No idea on the numbers in the pool.
No expansion in sight. We parked a DC-10F and are planning to park the second in June. A passenger plane may be parked toward the end of the year.
We were understaffed on the -10, so the parking of the first jet didn't trigger any furloughs. No word on staffing levels when we park the second.
