How does the middle eastern saying go, "The enemy of my enemy is my friend." I wonder what this means in this case.

I know. I know. Let it go...
I guess they taught us a lesson. It was in the unity 101 lesson plan.

I kinda had the impression that DW and BC had a hard on for the SFS guys. Especially the vocal anti LOA ones. I think there was a few personality conflicts with some of the SFS guys and BC and DW.

*for the moderators. BS in this instance stands for Baloney Sandwich and should not be interpreted as a violation of the TOS.

Default Tony H. are you kidding me?

I know we find ourselves thinking about more important things like family and friends with FDX80, but I think it is important to remember that as a pilot group we are approaching the proverbial fork in the road in less than 1 month with our Union Leadership Elections.

We need to get back to worrying about things like our actual job, Piloting Aircraft, and be assured that our ALPA MEC, Officer's and Rep's are doing what we charge them with: Represent us, Communicate TRUTHFULLY and frequently and most importantly let us speak through our democratic process and vote on these issues. Worrying about pay checks, grievances, furloughs is a fact of life but we need to move forward not dwell in the past.

Now T.H. decides step late into a race and starts by throwing out lies and deceptions about the 2 other Vice Chair Candidates.

A quote from T.H.'s letter speaking about his "battle" against Age 60.

"None of the gentlemen that now run against me did so. They sat quietly by in Union positions while our will was not honored. Both of them either agreed with the policy or timidly allowed it to proceed without putting their heads above the ridgeline. That is not my style of leadership."
T.H.

I can assure you that both of the other candidates are neither timid or afraid to put their heads above the "ridgeline". What did he expect them to do? Write editorials in the bathroom wall in AOC? Tom M. I know for one was not even in any kind of Union Position that would have given him any kind of platform to publicly declare his distaste for the Age change. T.M. has been involved with R & I for sometime, do you think he knows the ramifications of this change on our future contract negotiations? HE DOES.

T.H. is trying the oldest trick in the book, lie and deception to get a ground swell of support for his candidacy. He has blatantly lied about T.M. and most likely W.R. and he needs to be called out on this. I suggest an email or phone call to him asking how he knows what either of his opponents positions or actions were regarding Age 60, he doesn't know.

Take a moment to write the entire MEC in the next few days and once again remind them of your choices for each Officer position and most importantly explain that you DEMAND that after the process is over that they reveal how they voted in each election!

I agree. While you're at it tell them that we aren't going to accept any DW brokered backroom deals either! Didn't TH serve as the campaign chairman for DW's failed 2000 run for chairman? No wonder he was mentioned in SSch's parting shot...

I remember asking myself after reading this 'How the hell does this guy (T.H.) know what the two guys he's talking about agreed with the over 60 policy'???? There are only two ways to think about this statement: 1) The other two guys told T.H. in confidence of their stand on the over 60 policy, or 2) T.H. is totally making this up in a last ditch effort to continue the D.W.legacy.

Either way, it shows T.H. is not the guy we want anywhere near a leadership position.

Not much of a love fest I'd say with a grand total of 5 people pulling for WR. Let's see...that would be mom, dad, sis. the wife, and one kid. Welcome back to the line!!!!!! We all need WR's integrity, honesty, and experience back in the cockpit.

Well....I couldn't stand the agenda that the FDA LOA lovers pushed on us from above. They need to get outta politics before they they do more damage to the majority.

Declare war on us? Glad someone noticed.

They want us to let it go? Are they kidding? That boondoggle was the defining point of their MEC career. Politicians are full of promises and talk of the future but shy away from any kind of accountability. We should hold them accountable for every decision they made. They will make more... Retirement plan, work rules, scheduling....
