Don't know what fleet you are on, but I check every day and very often trying to trade, and there has been nothing in there for weeks. I know some of it has been picked up, but I know for fact that they are stuffing more time in VTO lines and there is much less OT right now.

EXACTLY ... but more precisely it gets snapped up when normal trade/pick-up begins.
I was watching 747 FO time for something to trade with after one mediocre trade during line improvement. Within approx one week everything but carryover trips were gone ... and still nothing as of today.
My schedule worked out later with displacements, and checking open time nearly every day.
And 9 times out of 10 if there is something good, it only lasts a day and gets picked up. Not traded, because nothing replaces it ... FWIW.
That is only one fleet/seat ...

That is so true. I have a vto this bid period and tried to trade some trips. Two pages of open time on the md..... gone in less than 48 hrs. I am very junior on the md and guys senior to me were picking it up on days off before I got to trade. Not complaining just an observation.

While I would like the language in our contract to be stronger, we do have this, which is similar to what you guys must have:
"There shall be no volunteer flying in any crew status while any pilot is on furlough. The Company does not intend to rely on draft flying in order to avoid a recall."
I don't like the second sentence, good intentions paving the road to hell and all, but I don't think there will be anybody flying extra if we have to furlough.
