Noble? How about educated, aware, financially prepared and taking an active role (not just by refusing extra flying). I have. What decision have you made toward helping us get an improved contract (and not being merely content that "we still have" our current contract)?

P.S. Ambivalence, noun; an uncertainty as to which approach to follow.

You seem to think nothing has any effect.

The company is not moving 1 iota at the Table...............while ALPA has made 3 proposals.....each one more concerssionary than before.

Just what do you propose be done to achieve a fair settlement?
Meaning a settlement that the Majority of FedEX ALPA members would ratify?
You really don't want me to answer that question.

Where do you find a copy of those proposals?

It doesn't take a majority to dft/vlt to cover the trips that need covering. If it takes schs ten calls when it used to take two, than they are still covered and (the same) minority is there to cover the slack. If the fact that FedEx hasn't had to cancel is your justification for (you) doing dft/vlt, than by extention, if the company (says) there are operating during a work action, you will cross the picket line because, "everone else is".

Ambivalance- I don't have the resources at hand, look it up.

See, there you go again. You need to reread all my posts. I don't do drf or vlt! I just happen to think that if you think you shouldn't do it, I respect that decision. Unless you're doing something that goes against the contract, knock yourself out. By the way, how do you know that skeds now has to make 10 calls when they used to make 2? Sounds good anyway. And as far as working during a work action, are we in one? Did I miss the email saying that we shouldn't do it from Wally and the boys. Yeah, that's what I thought. If and when there is a work action I will take all the information I have at my disposal, sit down with my family, and make a rational decision whether or not I will participate. I will not blindly follow a bunch of lemings off that cliff. See you keep confusing reality with your version of reality.

I can only speak for myself here. I resolved to contribute 100.0% on the day The Company walked away from facilitated negotiations. To me, that action indicated they are unwilling to negotiate in good faith, and they lack the consideration of my contribution to the bottom line and the success of The Company. They no longer want me to go above the call of duty to get the job done, so I won't.

Turned down a very easy draft trip today. Could have made a lot of money with little time away from home. But I did not do it. These guys who can't suck it up and refuse the quick buck for the long term reward are killing us.

Reading the Email from Wes today made it pretty clear what he thinks about guys who fly draft or volunteer, for those guys who keep saying "Well the Union hasn't told us not to.)

I've been called for field DFT's twice in the last two weeks, unheard of! To repeat (for those who need to be reminded) . The UNION will not I repeat, will not tell you to not to fly VLT or DFT.

You got to figure that out on your own.
