If we have DPs for March, I'll do up the links! Capt "0" lulled me into thinking DPs were "nearly extinct"!!!

You misspelled "when" we have DP's

He's coming to the school house tomorrow to chat with the class. I'm going to ask him about the PSIT lockout. What's up with that?

Doh, you are so right! I meant, "When we have DPs for March,....."

I guess he doesn't have the picture you think he has. The SIG guys do not agree with that assessment.

That said, I'm a bit surprised that management hasn't blown off the entire DP process like they have other parts of the contract. I'm also surprised that they haven't yet cranked up the optimizer causing MANY more disputed pairings?

I'm bidding more lines in FEB and MAR than I usually can find that meet my criteria. I'm very surprised ...

I'm ready to hear from OpenMind again, if he ever shows up.

And what exactly is Pro Stds going to do? The guy is flying a pairing that is legal per the FARs and the contract.
Thanks for the invitation. I've become a lurker, since I seldom agree with the opinions from the anointed gatekeepers of approved union behavior. To rehash, the dispute resolution process doesn't change regardless of the pay code of the operating pilot, as in reserve vs makeup. Anchorage was enlightened to this tidbit, when they "held the line" and only reserves flew the ANC-KIX-NGO sequence for over 3 months... it doesn't matter contractually, its simply a "show of support" for the SIG. Rather than harassing individual pilots for making a choice which is contractually theirs, "We" should work to change the contract language that to reflect that DPs will not be assigned to any line pilots... possibly mgmnt/flex instructors would like to fly something other than an O&B. While I'm at it, please stop invoking Pro Stds. Flying a DP, or makeup or protecting carryover are nothing that would concern them.

You mean HE doesn't have the picture he thinks he does! It wasn't meant as a tongue in cheek reference to Capt 0's recent claim that DPs are nearly extinct!

It was ANC-NRT-NGO.
