Reserve reconstruction-carryover R days

Reserve reconstruction-carryover R days
I have an R line in January with 4 carry over R days in February. I also have an R line in February with vacation in February. As part of my reconstruction request I asked for those days to be removed for vacation(did not hit them with actual vacation or buffer days). Scheduler did not remove those days. When questioned why not, the scheduler replied that she would have removed them but was not allowed to impact activities in the current bid month(Jan). Also said that this is not in the contract but is mandated by legal admin. This is total skedspeak to me. Sounds like they are making up rules outside the contract to fit their own needs. I contacted my ACP and got no help other than an offer to drop those days (without pay, of course). I have already contacted ALPA contract enforcement with a request to file a grievance over this. Anyone have any personal experience with this situation? Anyone ever have carryover R days removed under this same circumstance?

I frequently bid reserve and the MD-11 futures lady almost always says, "You're going to stand those carryover R days." (yes, I protect min days off ... who would want to work extra for 4 hrs/day?)
So ... at least the policy seems to be consistent?

Vacation was scheduled for week of 09 Feb, so I could have gotten those days off by sliding to left five days and using the two days of buffer available. The point is, why are those particular R days prohibited from being removed? The reconstruction section of the contract says nothing about this. Nor is it mentioned in any other section.

25.F.3 directs the current month to have precedence over the subsequent month.
And 7.G.3.d.ii says you get to input your preferences, but, nothing says the company has to honor your request.

I do not know where or if it is written in our contract, but here is how it was explained to me by a futures scheduler. During the bid processing for Jan, you were sent a notification that you have vacation in Feb (2 months early). If you wanted you could have slid the vacation back to the first part of the month, but once you are awarded c/o into Feb, it is too late to affect that c/o because it is part of your jan bid month. So, if you want to knock out c/o, you must do it before you get it. Got it?

25.F.3 refers only to bid month phase in. The January bid month was given precedence because I had R days in February that conflicted with the carryover R days. Those days were removed and added to my makeup bank, thus giving precedence to the current month. She took me off the R days I requested that week, except for the ones she was prohibited by some unnamed internal extra-contractual scheduling policy. Again, she said she would have, but can't.
I agree that 7.G.3.d.ii is a only a request, but it is only this unnamed internal extra-contractual scheduling policy that kept her from granting my request.

Got it? No, because I reference contract section 7.g.3.c which says "If a reserve line holder's vacation period conflicts with a scheduled trip(s) or R-day(s), (e.g., carryover trip from the prior bid period, vacations spanning two bid periods) the pilot shall be removed from that trip(s) or R-day(s)". I would not have to do this in January because I would not be sliding into the January bid period.

Also, the section you are referring to about 2 months ahead only applies to carryover TRIPS. R days do not meet the definition of a trip. Here's the section " A pilot may slide a vacation to conflict with a carryover trip as provided in Section 7.E.2.a. (above), only if he submits for the slide during the Conflict Input Window associated with the award of bid period in which the carryover trip began [e.g., the Conflict Input Window in the end of November (i.e., the Conflict Input Window for the December bid period award) is used to slide a January vacation to conflict with a December into January carryover trip." R days are not multi-day events and are not connected to each other in any way.
