Default ANC reserve report status changed to 1.5 hr.

Look at the Feb bid pack and they changed from 3 hr report status to 1.5 hr. Can they do that?

And ... you still get to stand ALL of your RESERVE days for a lower RLG now. Good deal! Can they do that?

The contract just says that the reporting status will be published in the bid pack (ANC and LAX were both changed). Must be a punitive action against all of us for having our hours cut...or something like that. Good luck getting to the hub in 1.5 if there's snow and ice in ANC. There's a reason it was 3 hours and hopefully they find the mistake. Think safety first and hope to show on time as a secondary consideration.

So.....the alert call would come before CRS even called you?

Punitive, indeed. So if you are on reserve at home in Ventura, good luck making it to LAX in 1.5. Same with, say, the guy in Palmer trying to get to ANC in 1.5.

So, if they give you "late call parking" they can give you 1 hour notice like in Memphis? That would be a piece of cake this time of year from Wasilla! What possible justification could they have for this cut from 3 to 1.5? More evidence they don't have confidence in their own ability to manage?

Punishment for having the audacity to grieve their recent actions.

Perhaps management is aware how upset guys are and they might be afraid that guys will actually call in sick, when they are sick. So rather than increasing the number of R lines, or adding ANC hotel standbys, they just said "what the hell, let's reduce the report time from 3 hour to half that. Those guys are so disorganized that they either won't notice, or won't care, or won't have the hutzpah to do anything about it."

It could happen.

My guess is it's a mistake. The Company went through the long commute issues in LAX when that domicile opened. Getting from Ventura to Ontario in three hours was a problem, and after they Lear'd several crews in, the problem got fixed. In ANC, the problem isn't going to be if the operating crew can get to the ramp in 1.5 hours - it'll be if ANYBODY can get to the ramp in 1.5.

I think you've seen the first of a number of problems with the bidpacks when you don't have the SIG/PSIT participating. There is no QA now, and I suspect the month of FEB will be a disaster.

Default Pretty sure of typo

Check the "My bidpack" link on PFC and it reads "Reserve Reporting Status is R-3.0".
