And by the way, I'm 49 yrs old, 11yrs at the company, and will be soon flying in the rt seat again. So I feel your pain.
If I posted misinformation I apologize, but I don't see where I did that. I was attempting to post only my thoughts on how I see the company operating between the lines of the CBA.

Well,it just looks that way. My bad...

Bottom line is our conract allowed them to go to the back seat without a bid, and the DC10 guys during the period when we no longer fly the jet and they are awaiting their training date will get paid an average blg across all of the bid packs.

And lowering the MBPG doe not mean in any way that that is what they will build, fly and pay us starting in Feb. PC even stated that they would be built to a much higher blg than the MBPG of 48.

It is smoke and mirrors my friend. Let them put on their little play, and we yell BRAVO BRAVO from the mezzanine when they are through..

I can, and do believe that the intent of the language was a share the pain maximum BLG for all....but, that intent just doesn't match the verbiage.

nor can I find any verbiage reflecting a maximum spread of BLGs between acft

I would expect that we are going to grieve PCs decision to implement this section of the contract. Doesn't mean that an arbitrator will agree with us, nor do I expect it to be timely.

It is my personal opinion that the company could ride out the economic down turn while maintaining the status quo. It is also my opinion that the training costs and relocation costs will greatly exceed the benefits of any upcoming excess bid. I find it somewhat ironic that the company is willing to accept the lost productivity created by multiple training cycles, yet, has a huge cow over the individual loss of productivity caused by someone calling in sick.

And the cubicle the BoyCaptain is sitting in is the left seat of an Airbus.
Folks, it is my strong opinion that the excess bid will be akin to a "red letter" to force our MEC to push a 777 LOA at us. The LOA is approved and sitting at the MEC. Remember, posting 08-03 would have cost the company $115 million dollars. Do you really think they are going to spend that kind of coin in this "macro-economic" enviroment?

There appears to be some funny business going on behind the scenes.
