Class act indeed, I'm sure it will come shining through in future interviews along with Penguin.
I've been hanging out on the "Youse guys are spoiled" thread trading "when I was a youngster". All this talk of either Purple or Brown furloughing is a bunch of crap. It's a waste of bandwidth.

Do you really feel that they should write you a big fat check after you destroyed their chance at continuing in the US, posted Nazi videos on UTube, wrote every bad letter possible, and generally just acted poorly compared to similar situations at other corporations operating under a contract with a foreign company? No one else is benefiting from this--why should you?

Are you kidding? Both FedEx and UPS have gained more customers in the past 6 months than probably the last 6 years.

I don't know which one of you DHL guys kept pushing these kids heads in the toilet, but they sure do have an axe to grind. You guys have some great pilots. Many of us understand and hope the best. Godspeed to you guys.

You seem to not understand the economic impact of the country with less volume. The fact is the customer base has increased while volumes are down. I would take a guess that your view from the list is not high enough to understand that without the increased customer base due to DHL removing themselves from the US market, you could possibly have been out on the street last week. Best to keep your facts straight. The decrease in volume does not mean a decrease in the customer base which has increased for both companies.

DHL killed their own deal. First of all, if you believe anything they say then you are easily deceived. To believe that thousands of jobs would have been saved if we had simply rolled over is ludicrous to say the least. They were lying in order to keep the peace. They are quite the collection of idiots and their lack of understanding and RESPECT of the United States, Capitalism, and the American consumer has once again bitten them in the gonads. You see, they thought they could just make their intentions known, and do as they pleased. Unfortunately for them they forgot who they were dealing with. This is the United States of America and history shows we don't take to disrespect, lies, and deception very well, especially from the Germans. They never dreamed they would meet such resistance, once again, they are idiots. The failure of the "closing " of the UPS deal up to this point is yet one more failure on a list of failures a mile long and to the tune of 9.5 Billion dollars. You couldn't stand in your backyard and burn money in a bonfire as fast as they do.They are getting exactly what they deserve. Many people pray for the removal of Frank Appel (the head village idiot), I pray he stays along with the rest. With these men at the helm, DHL will exist no more and that will be a good day. For DHL has put us through hell the last 10 years and I look forward to watching them pay. There is justice.

But other than that, you like them fairly well, right?

1. If the DHL/UPS deal went through as planned in May then 10,000+ jobs would have been lost and UPS would not have hired do to the economic recession.

2. Now that DHL has exited the U.S. Market and focusing on International only, 10,000 jobs have been lost and UPS has not hired.

3. Who ever said the deal is not going to happen between DHL/UPS? DHL freight is already being shipped on UPS. Now all UPS has to do is squeeze the s..t out of DHL and UPS will get the International freight too.

The Astar/ABX guys keep throwing out numbers of Job loses. 5,000 here, 10,000 there.

If this is true, why are 90% of you guys still flying and employed? For all the Dire quotes posted, why so few furloughs?

How many have been forloughed today? 50 or less? And dont give me the letters sent out, that could change today. All I hear is about the Job losses, and the number is so small it's laughable.

Until they forlough 75%, I don't want to hear the whining. Because so far it hasn't matched your complaining. Not even close.

And alot can happen between now and June.
