UPS - No Furlough

That is good news. To add: I spoke to Manpower today. They told me to expect a bid in Feb/March. No specifis given except Ontario is fat, and they may need to add crews to the A300 and the 757Z. No idea about the DC8. ANC manning expected to stay the same. They indicated that they may reduce flying in Ont and increase it in SDF due to commercial tickets to Asia being too costly out of Ontario, FWIW.

Manpower planning has told me that they think they are fat in ONT and thats the first place they will look at to cut crews. I heard "possibly 14 crews." As you know the plumbers creed: "All crap flows downhill, payday is every other Friday, and dont bite your fingernails!" So plan accordingly. For me, I'm near the bottom of the ONT list so I will be headed to ANC if this comes to pass. Not a big deal, as long as I can extract myself from the CA tax system.
This is probably the same ONT "fat" they're talking about when you spoke to manpower planning. Then again, maybe they, just like biggs, meant that you and the rest of ONT crews are PHAT and not fat???
If so, they were simply flirting with you dude, so just look in the mirror and enjoy being PHAT!
PS. By the way, did you start the conversation by saying “are you threatening me?”

Read Slowly. I never disputed the 400 numbers getting the fifth week. It was the 500 number he claimed were getting their(?) FORTH week!
Which is 1998 hires only. Which is 148 pilots hired that year. 1997 and earlier already have/had their Forth week.
Do you guys fly airplanes? God, I hope not.
