No idea about the DC8. ANC manning expected to stay the same. They indicated that they may reduce flying in Ont and increase it in SDF due to commercial tickets to Asia being too costly out of Ontario, FWIW.

Whoever said the commercial tickets to Asia from ONT being the reason is retarded. Look at the bid pack, they took almost all tickets away and now DH crews through ANC.

For me, I'm near the bottom of the ONT list so I will be headed to ANC if this comes to pass. Not a big deal, as long as I can extract myself from the CA tax system.
VB - Ontario 'shrinking' has been talked about for several months... In August for example one of the ACPs mentioned that up to 25 positions would be excesses (displaced) from ONT to the other domiciles in the early spring of 2009... When I asked if he meant 25 pilots he said he thought the company meant 25 FOs and 25 CAs.

This is probably the same ONT "fat" they're talking about when you spoke to manpower planning. Then again, maybe they, just like biggs, meant that you and the rest of ONT crews are PHAT and not fat???

If so, they were simply flirting with you dude, so just look in the mirror and enjoy being PHAT!

PS. By the way, did you start the conversation by saying “are you threatening me?”

It isn't just 1998 hires Commodo, there are three year groups per year that have accrued an additional week.

I thought you did a great job outlining that in your last post. Obviously wasn't clear enough for the Harvard educated Commando.

Commodo was so wrong. They (86-88 hires) are using their FIFTH week of vacation in 2009. So there!

Read Slowly. I never disputed the 400 numbers getting the fifth week. It was the 500 number he claimed were getting their(?) FORTH week!

Which is 1998 hires only. Which is 148 pilots hired that year. 1997 and earlier already have/had their Forth week.

Do you guys fly airplanes? God, I hope not.
