FDX - "Bot" Programming Phase II

Tell me... how is it level for guys who are flying during the open time frenzy, or during the 7:00am sick call OT dump? I'm not a open time user, but this severely tilts the playing field away from those who are actually moving freight. Those are the ones who are guns only....2's ready...

Let's not use the level playing argument. Personally, I think this line of reasoning is regressive. If you want to justify the changes because of some bandwidth or other technical reason so be it. However, when somebody uses the level playing field argument, it usually means they want to pull the other person back to their level instead of rising to the level of others.
Always easier to pull down on the rope instead of climbing up.

I think they used more than their imagination and found a very workable solution. Hack, hack.
And no I don't have a bot program. Matter of fact, I'm probably one of the most un-tech guys around. Get a rash whenever I get near a glass cockpit.

Must be present to trade
Guess it's time to stick my big toe in the water. Everyone knows there are good bots and bad bots in the world.
I designed MagicWebFX to be my "pilot website secretary". It reduces all my daily/monthly activities to a couple of button clicks as I watch it do it's magic. I also trust my computer clock and program timer more than my watch and fat finger to enter trades.
Since it uses a web browser to do it's secretary work, I believe it complies with SJ's statement that "The pilot website was designed to be used by a pilot at his web browser to transact normal company business functions."
So under the new rules, an authorized someone must be present to enter the code to submit a trade. MagicWebFX uses the IE web browser so there is nothing 'hidden' from your sight. There is also a built-in pause where one could easily enter the random code sequence before trades are submitted.
As far as the new, unknown web page quotas are concerned, that will be a trial and error experience for all of us. At least the company is taking incremental steps to 'fix' their problem.

The whole point is that there needs to be a STANDARD. The answer is not to add more steps and make it more difficult to trade trips.
There is no argument that will convince me that it was better to choose the worst user friendly and most basic user interface "pilot.fedex" over graphical click and drag styles like BidX.

So I guess as long as it's "fairer" to you... it's ok!

Well too bad FedEx IT culd not spend some time addressing the real problem instead of spending man hours and dollars on this stupid fix.
The good thing is it really is not that great of a fix. Ever try to buy tickets on TicketMaster where you have to enter a word and numbers. The characters look funny for a reason, so a program can not recognize them and enter them for you.
I only hope that the authors of the programs spend a little of their man hours and automate it again. It can be done. I know I am asking them to give up there free time, but I would like them to poke FedEx in the eye with the stick and then maybe FedEx will address the real issues.
Someone out there is smart enough to do it and the bots will be back at work again soon. Ifr they are available to the masses or not who knows. I certainly appreciate the work that was put into making BidX a valuable program. If one guy can do it on his spare time absolutely no reason FedEx can't fix it. Management lurkers are you listening?
