Per our FOM, the FedEx weather is the primary source, not the NWS or anyone else.....

Nothing like an another amended forecast to keep that accuracy rate high.

Thumbs down Uh Oh

Per the F.O.M.

"Use all the environmental information
available prior to takeoff and use holdover
charts as a guide to help make good judgment
decisions when operating in icing
conditions.
Takeoff Restrictions:
Do not takeoff in:
• Freezing rain (FZRA)

• Heavy freezing rain (+FZRA)
• Heavy freezing drizzle (+FZDZ)
• Heavy Ice pellets (+PL)
• Snow pellets (GS)
• Hail (GR)
• Light Ice Pellets mixed with Light or
Moderate Snow 6 degrees C or below
(-PLSN, SN -PL)
NOTE
Use ATIS or flight crew observation,
whichever the Captain deems to be
the most accurate."

Could be a long night/morning/afternoon...

Yep, our own wx dept. Its the primary wx for our flight planning! Usually pretty good! Mostly former NWS, TWC, and military forecasters.
