Driver and management buddies of mine in FL have told me of driver furloughs. Those who are left are worked like dogs. Twelve hours of back breaking labor, and this is before peak. Oh yeah, the next morning they tell you what a piece of crap you were the day before, now go out and do better. Oh yeah, here's 20 more stops, call me when you get done, go meet Joe and help with 20 more stops.

I see UPS trucks rumbling through my neighborhood, in the dark, well after 7PM. Hope those guys get good overtime...

Time and a half over 8 hours. Problem is, your old lady and kids get tired of you getting home at 9pm for dinner. I miss that place like I would miss a hole in the head. Wouldn't mind flying for them, though.
