As my mother used to say: "Talk is cheap." My point is that we need to wait and see how this new negotiating committee does. I think we should all assume that they are there to better the working conditions, pay, retirement, etc, etc, for all crewmembers, and give them our support, until such time as they show us differently.
Just my take, but on this one thread alone there has been a huge variance in feelings, based on (at first) nothing but testimonials and unsupported opinions, and now, based on one email, feelings at the exact opposite end of the scale. Maybe we should just give these guys some time to do well. And let's not forget that they are looking for input, so for you guys who have problems with everything that's going on here, be sure to make them aware of problems that they might actually have some control over or influence on.
