Should it have taken longer?
Given that the union never regrets a decision, I am glad someone pointed our new NC Chair was part of the best we are gonna get crowd.
The good news is the next contract can't possibly "lower the bar" any further than the LOA did.

And you have what, no opinion? Look, the guys been in the NC business for 7 years and now has been selected to run the show. It's only natural that people will have opinions on him from both sides. I notice you don't criticize the guys who said what a wonderful job he is going to do. I guess you wouldn't think it was fair for someone to have an opinion on the suitability of Hillary to be the Sec of State because she hasn't been sworn in yet, even though her views, on a myriad of topics are well known. Next time anybody has an opinion, pro or con, on any subject, we can just run it by you for your blessing. Would that make you happy? You know the goal here.....make Don very very happy.

Yah!! Like the contract that he helped negotiate. You know, the one that only passed by a 95% margin!!!
Of course, not too many actually read it. Or, knew what was in it. Hey...Come to think of it. That hasn't changed. They still haven't read it.

What does he promise to focus on? What does he hope to accomplish as NC Chair? What were the differences between the candidates?
Or....
Is it entirely up to the MEC to set the negotiating agenda? You know that's how DW got his mandate for age 65 and retro, right?
