Forward Air Cargo
Hey guys. I was talking to one of my neighbor’s brothers a while back and he mentioned to me a company called Forward Air Cargo, based out of Columbus, OH. It sounded pretty interesting so I decided to check it out. I haven't been able to find much information on the company except their website; Forward Air Home Page, but it sounds like they primarily deal with 18 wheeler cargo.
I'm curious if anyone out there knows anything about them because he told me that they also fly air freight with C-130's. The way he found out about them was when he was in the military and was getting interested in flying.
Any info will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

Forward air is a freight forwarding company as the name implies. Your business needs to move something, they do it. If it needs to move through the air they'll contract an ACMI carrier (like Atlas or IFL) to do so.
The C-130 company he mentioned is probably Lynden Air Cargo. They have a few civilian L-100s (lockheed's designation) flying cargo mostly in Alaska although I have seen them in the lower 48 as well.
