Just was in Anchorage Wednesday and saw a Long Top 747-400 that looked like it used to be a people-hauler. It has a UP tail number. Thought that was interesting. Maybe on of those former Cargolux -400s you all were talking about.

I believe that the airplane your referring too is from EVA!

Shaggy got it. That was a Boeing Converted Freighter. Upper deck remains as is; Fuselage-wise.

I had heard "El Ocho" will be delayed 9 months. Judging from past experience of receiving airplanes from Boeing, I'd add 10% or another month to that.
My guess is "El Ocho" will be delivered in Aug '10.
For everything else there's Mastercard.

My guess is the first one in summer of 2009. There were only 3 scheduled in 2009 to begin with.
As for the 747's, I've been told that the 8th production freighter (our 10th 400) should deliver the third week of January. There are a lot of variables that may affect the Cargolux deliveries, but for now their official dates (two in October 2009) have not changed.
My guess is that they will be delayed as Cargolux will not get their 747-8's until 3rd quarter 2010.
