Clairvoyance
I would be shocked if fedex announced via bidpack that the january bid will not be bought up to current BLG minimums. That would have to come out before XMAS which wouldn't be what the company wants. Now after the bid closes, management could then announce BLG reductions for february before the january month begins. We'll see.
Clairvoyance (from 17th century French with clair meaning "clear" and voyance meaning "visibility") is the apparent ability to gain information about an object, location or physical event through means other than the known human senses,[1][2] a form of extra-sensory perception. A person said to have the ability of clairvoyance is referred to as a clairvoyant ("one who sees clear").

How's this theory?
This company's management has a history of taking things away, completely. And then, when they give 1/2 of it back again...It creates a "we showed them" victory mentality for the clueless troops(us). That's basic stuff, right.
So, in the current situation...Management seems to want their cake and eat it too. They say they're going to lower the BLGs under 68, and they're going to do it without parity to seat/aircraft. Neither of these are legal under current ALPA's, nor the writers of the original language interprepations of the CBA. Until they get the seniority list in some sort of an order that could possibly allow for a furlough...I don't see one being imminent.
My guess is they want us all to breathe a big sigh of relief by agreeing to "allow" them to abrogate our contract by just lowering the MBLG slightly, but evenly.
Based on what they are asking our fellow employees to give up, the forecast profits and our past "business" relationship with these buttheads...I think they should be told to "pack sand"!
