Default Fdx - CIC Questions

Searched CBA and old threads and could not find answers.

1. Is CIC a one-for-one hour makeup or can you go +6 hours over your CIC balance for the Bid month?

2. Does a CIC trip plus up you computed BLG for the month or is it considered makeup (i.e. makeup pay status)? For example. If for some reason you drop a CIC trip, are you in the hole for the month on your BLG or is it like dropping a M/U trip?

Thanks

must not have searched too hard,
25.F.5 refers you to the M/U section 25.L.5 which is where the up to 6CH above the conflict allownce exists.

any CIC trip is awarded as CIA and is part of your BLG.....think of it as anything prior to Open Time being released is part of the compensation the company knows (thinks) you are going to do.

IMHO, the company should be able to calc the mid-month (and EOM) paycheck including any M/U trips or drops on your schedule versus waiting for the next month. Pay process is much more automated than it was in the past and could be more efficient.

1. This question will be answered on Wed when you go into Monthly makeup Bid. It will tell you how many hours you are eligible to makeup. The total will be 6 hrs greater than your dropped trips.

2. You will be in the hole on BLG if you do not makeup what you lost. More specifically, you need to get a monthly makeup bid award at least equal to your dropped trip(s) to keep your pay up.

won't be in the hole, just won't have the "extra" hours of carryover.
BLG will be in the 85 hour range versus the 85+carryover range.

Won't even be in the hole if you have training and protect min days off.
In that situation new BLG will be calc'd in the 76 hour range.

Look at your pay summary or whatever page it is after a Carry in drop. Haven't had it in a while so I can't do it now.

I'm pretty sure you will see a lower BLG before the monthly makeup bid award. Your pay will be based on this lower BLG if you don't get a makeup award.

1. You can go over by 6.

2. It is part of your BLG. Gotcha is, if you trade your CIC for anything it is no longer a CIC and will no longer be used for leveling (if you are on reserve)

But you won't be owing the company money in the subsequent bid periods mid-month paycheck (won't be in the hole).

If you have week long carryover trip that conflicts with a weeklong trip and creates the CIC, your BLG will be about the same.
If you have 4 hours of carryover that conflicts with a 20 hour trip, your pay will be calc'd at about 70 versus the 85....unless you make it up.

But, in no way is your paycheck going to be docked because you are in the hole.
Now, if some sweet trips popped into view during the view/add window, I would go for them. If it's nothing but stuff I don't want to fly....or times i don't want to work. Wouldn't sweat it.
I can live with the extra days off and the 70hr paycheck. Don't like the paycheck when 20CH comes out of it the next month
