Default FDX - LEC 79 union meeting feedback?

Was out of town during this meeting. Wondering if anyone who did attend could provide some feedback. Was there any discussion about FE being fired? Thanks.

The catered lunch at ORSO was the best food I've ever had at a union meeting.
DM addressed the meeting and said that nobody would be satisfied with his answer regarding FE. He was right. The bottom line is that union leadership will not talk about the reasons that FE resigned. If you want the answer you will have to talk to him.
A resolution was introduced to initiate a recall of DW. We spent about 45 minutes trying to get the wording "legal", and after half of the people had left the meeting for various reasons, the vote for this resolution failed 13-11. All the ALPA leadership who were present argued against the resolution.
A resolution passed that clarifies who is on dues checkoff in the pocket calendar.
I hope the next meeting is at ORSO.

I liked them at the old union hall. You're right, the food looked good, I didn't eat, but, I think we can make better use of our resources by saving money on the party favors.

That is exactly how the last recall played out stall until all the working guys have to go make their showtime then have the vote.

I emailed FE but he never replied. I guess he's leaving us to all draw our own conclusions. Thanks for your responses.

Default Good Use of Sick?

If they wait till the working members trickle out........call in sick. If you want the goober gone then continue to put a recall to vote each time we meet. Sooner or later there will be more of us than them.

If more people had known that a recall effort was planned then I think it would have passed. I would have commuted in for it.

Personally I think they would have gone to the magic pocket and pulled out the required number of proxies to defeat the effort no matter how many pro recall pilots were there. Not to say I don't admire the effort.

The resolution was not for a recall. It was for a poll of the LEC crewmembers to be taken to determine if our rep should start a recall.

The problem is, we as members can not direct the reps to do anything. Just like our reps in congress, they do not have to do what we want.

It was ironic that the person presenting the resolution was an over 60 return to ANC guy. The resolution started by saying we have lost faith in out MEC due to the over 60 vote and other things.
