And Pablo, "a discount to induce a reluctant customer to take the earlier slots" ?

An airline doesn't want one of these sitting around if they are not ready to make money with it. There is no benefit for FedEx to take one early if the simulators, training, MX, and pilots are not in place to utilize this huge capital investment. So, FedEx would need an incentive to take it early. By the same token, Boeing does not want this type of inventory sitting on their ramp costing them interest on the debt they incurred to build it. So, they would also be inclined to offer some incentive for someone to take it early.

The rumor, in my opinion, would mean that maybe instead of getting them late, because of the strike, maybe we would get them closer to on time. I don't think that Boeing would have to pay us a premium to get us to take them on time.
