Default FDX - Hiring experienced dispatchers

Our impending change to Domestic/Flag ops has created a hiring window for dispatchers. License required. If you have any buds that fit the bill, you might let them know.

Rumors are that the FAA requires 36 months of proving runs before a 121 Flag/Domestic operation can begin. Can you spell W-A-I-V-E-R.

Haven't we been doing 35 years of proving runs?

No doubt. Talk about making something out of nothing.

Fedex has been hiring experienced dispatchers for a long time, license has always been a requirement. And unless something has changed recently, there's no requirement for 36 months of proving runs to get a flag/domestic certificate. See Jetblue, Virgin America, or even Skybus.

I think the change over from supplemental to flag will be less work, just expect less alternates.

However, if you know of an external postng, I have some friends who would be interested.

No, we had stopped for awhile according to the manager of the department. The first class in quite some time started last week. And yes, external hires, particularly with international experience.

Hi!

I know several that might be interested. I tried looking it up on the FedEx website, but came up with nothing for dispatcher.

Any more details/info would be greatly appreciated!!!

Apologies, i read it as you were saying because of the change from supplemental to flag that Fedex was going to start hiring experienced DX with license (as opposed to not doing tha in the past). My bad.

Its good to see hiring, i'll send the word to some pals from former lives.

Gotcha. She said the change is causing the required number of dispatchers to increase.

I'll try to find the contact information.
