I'm up to six (6) draft calls since Friday evening. Apparently the LAX crews aren't too inclined to give up their days off. Me included.

Make it EIGHT! That's as of Monday evening since Friday afternoon. They have got to be hurting if they keep calling like this. I sure hope so.

Nothing against newhires and I don't blame them for bidding the highest paying equipment they can hold.

I am curious as to your reasoning (seniority aside)......................

hopefully atleast they will get a move package up there if they do.
Oh just because I want to go to ANC, been one of those things that I've always wanted to do...

Thumbs up

Amen to that... From the looks of it, it was going to be around $20,000.

My wife loves me.... but not that much!!

Any idea when classes will start up again?

Thanks,

I know how it is............I have wanted to Bid ANC for the last 4 years.
My wife says she loves me but will miss me. So I am in MEM.

Hey we the line pilots seem to be the last to know anything....................
I suggest speaking with a MEM aircraft fueler or caterer as they seem to know everything...............

All kidding aside, the word is hring will be approx 30 per month for atleast the coming year. We haven't had a new hire class for a while (about a month) and I think we are due..............

Are you in the Pool? If so how long have you been there? A friend of mine is interviewing next week. Just curious how long he will have to wait if things go well for him. You can PM me if you want to keep this off the Forum.

Good luck

I've been in the pool since the end of Feb. A friend who interviewed not too long ago was told that they expect to drain the pool in 2 classes, starting April and then a couple in May. Maybe that will slip a little? I don't know.

If your friend is lucky, then by the time he gets his letter, the pool will be mostly drained.

I've been hearing all sorts of stuff. It's hard to seperate the wheat from the chaff.

Wish your friend luck for me and tell him that outside of your own nerves trying to turn you inside out, the interview is very fair. And I was infinitely impressed by everyone I came into contact with.

Why do you guys even read the crap that "Capt Drew" puts out. Does anyone else wonder why he sits around all day and does nothiong but blast eh company that sends him a pay check every month. I just hope that when I finally get to the point where I can retire, I so so with some dignity. Drew, get a hobby.
As for voting down the TA, that's up to you. I for one will read it and vote according to how it looks to me. I will not blindly jump off a cliff like a leming. Maybe we should all grow a set and start acting like the inteligent people the company thought we were when they hired us.

So does that mean if we don't get the huge raise you want (but we do get a raise), but the retirees get better retiree healthcare language that you'd vote no? Now that would be just one bit of the picture, that's what it sounds like to me...

Your post makes it sound like you're just out for yourself. Now I have no qualms with doing what's best for you and yours, but I wouldn't say voting for a TA that takes everyone's greater good into account is being "like a lemming". Because in the end, our negotiating committee is going to endorse a TA (or LOA, for that matter) they feel is fair to everyone, and doesn't alienate one pilot group.

Everyone has their own values, plans, opinions, etc., etc., etc. But if we all voted for what we INIDIVIDUALLY wanted, we'd have equal parts of newhires, young guys, old guys, retired guys, instructors, etc., etc., etc., and never agree on anything, and accomplish nothing.

In an ideal world, we'll all vote YES on a TA that is fair to ALL FedEx pilot groups...but in the flawed world we live in, we can only hope for a majority voting for a fair TA we can all live with...

Management is wearing us down...you can see it in how some of these pure FedEx threads have started to become very negative...there are chinks in the armor, and hairline cracks are starting to form...

UNITY and SOLIDARITY are the ONLY things that will help us.

KEEP THE FAITH, Boys and Girls!
