Pages are going to get used up FAST with the entry/exit process in ZGGG (as well as PVG and SZX). Has anybody in management taken a look at that - or do they care? Getting a new passport because of used up pages will be require three new visas. Is there any way our 'leadership' can generate some interest in having China create a 'shore pass', like Japan and Taiwan? Finally, is there a requirement to have space for [them] to stamp our passports? If my passport is legal, with the appropriate visas, isn't that good enough?

Since this thread has been resurrected, thought I'd pass on that this is what I ended up doing. Worked great, zero line.

Don't go on a Monday though, they're closed.

I have heard up to 5 times but I have not confirmed that yet.

You do realize that you can use the valid visa in the old passport along with a brand new passport. I have done it many times in China. It does suck having to carry both passports.
