It took about an hour in Paris. Maybe it was the season (spring) or maybe it's always mobbed with people. It is a short walk at least and once they take your passport it is fairly quick. Just be sure to take a number when you enter.

I had 48 pages added to my "thin" passport....it's only 3 years old and looks like it won't make it past year 5 before I run out again...Anybody know what is the maximum number of pages they'll add before you have to make a new one?

Did you do that recently? Looking on their website it's not immediately obvious that they'll do it for you without having to mail it in. No appointment?

Do you know if you can do this more than once per passport?

At the bottom of the page you'll find the address, and directions on how to get to the office. About 15 min walk from the Hilton a block or so past the Plaza 66 building on Nanjing. Took about 15 minutes, no appt needed.
They now require appointments. You can make one online at the above link.

HKG is very quick, pm me if you need directions to get there. Last time I was there ran across a UPS pilot doing the same thing.

HKG, make an appt. online and you're set. Multiple pages to be added from currrent is not a problem, in and out in less than an hour.

The rumor is you can only have it done two times. I just had pages added for the 4th time. The lady at the HKG consulate said as long as they would fit then they could put them in. BUT..You could only add two packs of pages at a time.
