Thumbs down FDX - $25 max internet fee

It was only a matter of time before it happened...

Renaissance hotel Dubai is now over $25 for 1 day of internet access (and government limited at that). Time to allow whatever it costs for access, in my opinion. I haven't seen a fully functioning company computer between paris and subic!

Any other places over $25 bucks?

Seoul Hilton at 27,500 Won. Two or three months ago that would be over $25. The greenbacks rise has caused that price to dip below the $25 benchmark.

I always put a note in the comments that I used the 'CONTRACT' hotel internet and the fee was over $25 and thus the full amount should be accepted.

They adjust the accepted rate every time, and I spend no dollars out of my pocket.

Get on over to the Movenpick Dubai. They are willing to negotiate free internet for crews, and executive floor privileges that include happy hour alcoholic beverages, computers, and printers.

Get a VPN for Dubai (charge it to the company as internet charge - totally valid) and unlimited internet to include Skype/VOIP works like a champ.

If you show up on Wed and leave on Thurs, even if it's less than 24 hours, it's still 2 days. Depending on the situation, might save you, always worked in Almaty for me.
