I'm glad to see UPS doing this, and it's good to know that UPS is trying to get all DHL's business before they pull out of America.

UPS and FedEx will be much better off after DHL pulls out of here and goes home.
If there was ever any doubt that you are a manager, this post just cleared it up! What empathy, what compassion, what a.........!

Maybe not. It is just Ned, after all. Kind of like that uncle in the attic that nobody likes to talk about.

Jeez, I guess I am a manager too then because I've submitted a bunch of 'Take Charge' leads trying to get business people that I or my wife know to change from DHL to UPS. I've heard that UPS sales were able to convert one too.

Sorry, but I am pretty low on the seniority list here at UPS. I am glad for any and all business that UPS gets.

I feel bad for the DHL guys, but I don't think there is much hope for DHL to be successful here in the USA after reading that they are firing all the sales staff and not allowing new accounts to be opened.

Also, I've been hearing that the deal is on track and DHL will be using UPS for domestic AND international. The reason why it is taking longer is that it is bigger and of course because of the election.

My bet is this "deal will be done" on or about when the last Election Day polling place closes (Alaska).

2008 Poll Closing Times - Electoral College Chronologically

Or possibly as early as 0030Z, when Ohio's polls close out.

DHL is dumping the ground domestic, the low dollar stuff that makes little money (for DHL)

As far as DHL International, they're here to stay. That's DHL's bread and butter and where they far exceed UPS and FedEx.

I don't think that's good news then....Because there'll be numerous re-counts before it will be settled. Unless the Rep. wins...If they lose, there'll demand recounts.

So. There will be recounts.

The difference is, you're not starting a thread with a gloating tone reveling in your potential good fortune at the expense of another pilot group. In your post you say you feel bad for them. Its clear that NR does not. If you like doing the sales lead thing, more power to ya! Not my thing, but have no prob with those that like to do it. It will get you noticed however. I suspect you'll get the more personalised invite next year. Don't do it!! :-)
