777 Pay= Airbus Pay FDX
Just in case anybody actually believed FedEx would do anything differently, read F.E.'s latest message line.
Just perfect.
Now, what should I bid? Would I rather fly from Memphis to Tulsa and back or Memphis to Shanghai and back. The same pay rate (except for all that override of course.)
Just perfect.

And what do I remember, DW and the old gang standing in the hub and other assorted meetings telling us it was a done deal. The "language" in the contract "guarantees" it.
Just goes to show you, if it's NOT written in concrete we don't have a leg to stand on.
Next the company will put a bid out (and the union will recommend not to bid it without established pay rates) but this crew-force will be stabbing each other in the back to be the first in line to get on this aircraft. I most certainly don't blame FE and his guys as the old NC knew this was a possibility and did nothing to address this or other aircraft. Makes me once again wonder where the "hidden" millions are (probably in the companies pocket).

Unfortunately, it is in the contract, 26.K.
The payrate must be negotiated. But, it is my opinion that the company negotiated in bad faith given that language was written in re: the 727 replacement aircraft while 380 payrates are the only option for this new ULR flight.
So, now that you know that the company isn't willing to pay extra for your monthly sim and the 18 hours on the plane.....
what is in your standing bid?
