Prediction... The company will use 777 pay as leverage to get us to agree to a LOA limiting the 777 right seat to < age 60 and the crew force will approve said LOA by a wide margin.

How about the company follow the letter of the law. Oh no, wait, that'd probably not allow some of the junior or younger guys to hold or fly the international jets or routes. We can't have that. Let's just abandon the seniority system altogether. Yeah, that's it. It's every man for himself. No wait... that's the way it's been forever. Damn. Oh well, time to get back to watching McCain self-destruct.

JJ,
I agree with you. The company got themselves into this problem when they decided to excess DC-10 and 727 SOs. They would have been in a much better situation if they left them where they were. Letting them earn BLG even if they aren't working is not far from retirement pay, and much better than where they find themselves now. The company found out a little late than hooking up your bro's is not necessarily running a sound business.
FDX didn't cause the age 60 problems, but they have definitely added a few of their own.

OK. Here's the deal. For those of you who like slamming me, fine. I couldn't care less. But please, please refer to me in the correct vernacular. From now on, you are to refer to me as a WD (was dead), not a ND, which I was once, right before I was dead. Got it?
